Rêvo WASP Power Catamarans

(WASP = Water/Air Suspension Powercat)

Rêvo WASP 442 and Rêvo WASP 742 Powercat

Revolutionary new hull form makes for a simply superior boat.

The hull is a new unique design in which we have all the benefits of a cat but in the same beam as a monohull. This gives about 14% more useable volume and floor space for the same length and beam.

The hull rides on  a combination of clean and aerated water making it very fuel efficient and soft riding.

More efficient than an equivalent sized monohull, more stable, dryer and softer riding. We can point the boat in any direction in rough seas and leave the wheel. The boat is very very safe!

We see great potential for these boats as work boats, ferries, rescue boats, tenders for superyachts, and superb as pleasure boats providing excellent accommodation and safe handling.

Twin engines widely spaced offer unparalleled piece of mind, safety and control. The boat can be run at low speed without excessive trim angles giveing her a very wide band of operational speed.

We recently launched the Rêvo WASP 742, which is the 7.4 metre version, for a Sydney customer.

It is built of fabricated polyethylene.

The boat floated with 270 mm draft exceeding the design requirement of 300 mm and runs at 34 knots also exceeding the performance requirement of 32 knots.

The walk through forward cockpit is a superb feature and performance and handling are excellent.

Very smooth and quiet and will fully plane at 12.5 knots at a mere 2600 RPM.

Described by a professional skipper aboard at the launching as the best cat he has ever been on by a long way. He said he would like to order a 20 metre version of it he was so impressed.

Why is this revolutionary new hull design so good?

  • Superior efficiency
  • Superior stability making the boat unbeatable in a following and beam sea
  • Superior space. People compare the volume of our 7,4 metre with an 8.5 metre monohull. Imagine the saving on marina fees! And very user friendly space as well.
  • Superior handling. The boat banks in in a turn. Twin engines make it a dream at low speed around other boats and marinas
  • Redundancy. Having two engine and fuel tanks is very reassuring and the boat will plane on one engine.
  • Very responsive. You have to hold on when you put the throttles down. It is very quickly onto the plane.
  • Will fully plane at very low speeds making a very wide operating band or alternatively the boat can run very low horsepower engines.
  • Very fuel efficient. 0.8 nautical miles/litre with petrol outboards
  • Very dry. Our hull is more buoyant than conventional cats which makes it drier and not prone to depressing the bow.
  • Very quiet
  • Very smooth

Text message from the owner

"Hi Jim, We took the boat for a good run today. We went outside the heads. The swell was 4 to 5 metres so it was very testing. All went very well. A great test."

Video was taken on board the 442 prototype, the morning after Cyclone Lusi passed through Auckland.

Rêvo WASP 1482

They say all boats are compromise but there simply aren't any compromises in this boat. It really is better in every way!

The drawings to the right are of a Rêvo WASP 1482 (14.8 metre).

The interior is single level providing magnificent indoor/outdoor flow throughout the boat.

It features 4 double cabins, 3 heads, internal access to the bridge and a huge cockpit. On the foredeck is large sun lounger and storage for the tender is conveniently located aft above the cockpit. The bridge can also be accessed via the cockpit stairs on both sides of the boat.

Draft is a mere 600mm.

And yes it will fit a standard 15 metre marina berth!

Ultimate Superyacht Tenders

Rêvo WASP 602 Sport and Rêvo WASP 602 Utility

The Revo WASP 602 comes in two configurations - one is a sport version and the other a utility boat.  Both have the same hull.

The advantage is a twin engine for ultimate control, particularly while manuovering around the mothership, as well as stability, dryness and safety.

This is a great ski boat and has superb access for getting passengers on and off.

Built in polyethylene makes for a very quiet boat that once again wont damage the mothership, making it a perfect tender boat.
