Rêvo Boxta 45
Rêvo Boxta 45.
4-5 seat Non Reinforced Plastic (NRP) jet boat. The big strong silent type. Commissioned by an owner of the smaller Boxta who said "the boat is so good I don't want to boat in anything else now". But he did want to be able to take family and friends aboard so commissioned the Boxta 45. Here is what the owner Bill Winmill said about the boat:- The boat is so smooth and quiet and handles rough water so gently without banging. Performance and handling are superb. So responsive. She planes so quickly and at such a low speed. Coming down river is very safe. You have so much control. She just goes where you point her. Handling is superb. Can't believe how easy it was to get the boat back to water. It slid very easily unlike an alloy boat. But what amazed me most was how it required so little water to get it planing. It hrdly needs any more water than it takes to float the hull to get it planing and it floats in less than 300mm of water. About a half to one third of other boats this size. It is one tough boat. We ran it 40 metres high and dry. No damage at all. We have had some massive hits fully loaded at speed and not compromised the hull. She is one tough boat The boat is so easy to work on for maintenance. The full engine bay and cover is brilliant. There is so much open space all around the engine and jet so getting access to all parts is very easy. And it provides good storage space for gear when on a weekend camp. I couldn't be any happier. She is perfect. Fully fabricated Polyethylene hull professionally designed/engineered and professionally built using new technology for an even better stronger boat and more dimensionally accurate accurate hull shape. Chevy L86 alloy V8 Scott 852 water jet. This unit is fitted with a trim nozzle but the owner does not use it. He does not need to alter the trim at any speed. It is all set by the superior design which increases efficiency and improves handling making the boat faster and safer. Using trim to alter trim angles is wasting horsepower and ultimately will not make the boat safe. The ride angles must be set by the design for safe efficient handling. No chine walking at speed in this boat! 125 Km/Hr top speed. |

Rêvo Boxta NRP Jet Boat
NRP is non-reinforced plastic. If any boat has proven the viability of fabricated polyethylene construction (NRP), this boat is it. Tough, durable and a pleasure to ride aboard. The hull design has completed changed what people thought they knew about jet boat design. Very efficient and a true open water boat on top of her amazing shallow river capability. The owner loves the boat so much he has ordered a new 5 seater V8 powered version as well. And it sits on a Rêvo fabricated polyethylene trailer, the first and only one in NZ. The owner loves this as well.

Rêvo 601 Superfly
The Rêvo 601 Superfly is a six metre welded polyethylene longboat.
This is the first welded polyethylene boat in survey in New Zealand and while it has been a testing process the results have been well worth it. Purpose designed for salt water fly fishing charters, the boat is a development of our original polyethylene longboat hull form. The boat is capable of operating at any speed up to its maximum of 30 knots with a 60 horsepower motor. We have under development a boat with a collapsible forward cabintop for protection from the elements. Also included in this version is a fully enclosed canvas top for overnight camping and fishing trips. We also offer this hull with jet drive and a 40 horsepower tiller steer option. |

Note on the video there is no noticeable transition from displacement to planing speeds. The hull is extremely sea kindly keeping passengers comfortable and safe and economical to run, essential to the charter operator.
It features a casting deck forward for the anglers to cast their fly lines from and the hull being built of polyethylene is tough, durable and quiet for getting in close amongst rocks without alarming the fish below. Operated as a charter boat by Matt Von Sturmer at Salt Fly Fish if you are interested in chartering. There is a sister ship operated on the Manukau harbour by Paul Mills and Doug Rankin of Rod & Reel. |

The Rêvo 601 to the right was the first of our fabricated polyethylene longboats. Watch the video to see just how well the boat handles.
You can see how the boat can operate at any speed as it is filmed in the wake of a 50 foot planing launch. I tried to replicate following and quartering seas by holding the boat on the wake in certain positions and you can see how little vertical acceleration there is by way the 10 year old in the bow can happily stay there whatever I do with the boat. It is hard to know what speed the boat is doing as it accelerates without transition. This boat proved beyond doubt the strength and durability of the material and was the forerunner to the more advanced Superfly. |

Rêvo 651 Sportfly
JPYD designed, Rêvolution Yachts built, Rêvo 651 Sportfly, NRP sport/fly fishing boat for an Auckland customer who fished aboard the 601 Superfly and loved the boat but wanted something slightly bigger for fishing and diving as far afield as Great Barrier. The boat was custom designed and built for his needs, including beach launching and able to be handled by one man. Set up for salt water fly fishing with two casting decks and a massive double skinned built-in fish bin, but also to be used for general sport fishing and diving.
Once again a very efficient and well mannered boat able to operate at any speed. 6.5 metres long with 90 horsepower motor - 30 knots. The pictures and video show just how smooth and responsive the hull is. Virtually no transition from non-planing to planing mode makes the boat very responsive and able to operate at any speed. The most fuel efficient speed is 13 knots giving a 106 nautical mile range or 96 nautical miles at 18 knots. Comments from the owner:- She is just so responsive. She is pretty much planing at any speed. It is so quiet and smooth. Comments from others who have been aboard:- The ride is unreal. I have never been on a boat like it. You will be impressed with this, it is so smooth and responsive. |

Rêvo Sailing Catamaran
This big cat is a 45 footer, which was being designed for a customer in alloy, however once he saw the 742 powercat I am building in polyethylene he changed his mind and wanted it in plastic.

Rêvo 442 Powercat and Rêvo 742 Powercat
We had this design under development for a long time and it is now finalised the design ready for production.
The photos shown here are of a 4.4 metre prototype during sea trials. This 4.4 metre boat features two full length bunks. She runs twin 30hp engines but is able to fully plane on one engine and would comfortable run twin 15hp engines. More efficient than an equivalent sized monohull, more stable, dryer and softer riding. We can point the boat in any direction in rough seas and leave the wheel. The boat is very very safe! We see great potential for these boats as work boats, ferries, rescue boats, tenders for superyachts, and superb as pleasure boats providing excellent accommodation and safe handling. Twin engines widely spaced offer unparalleled piece of mind, safety and control. The boat can be run at low speed without excessive trim angles giveing her a very wide band of operational speed. We have produced a Revo 742 Powercat, which is the 7.4 metre version, for a Sydney customer. A preliminary rendering is shown in the photos. It features 300mm hull draft for shallow water access and a forward cockpit, self contained head and an overnight sleeping cabin. Construction is welded polyethylene. |

Rêvo 602 Powercat Sport and Rêvo 602 Powercat Utility
The Revo 602 WASP comes in two configurations - one is a sport version and the other a utility boat. Both have the same hull.
The advantage is a twin engine for ultimate control, particularly while manuovering around the mothership, as well as stability, dryness and safety. This is a great ski boat and has superb access for getting passengers on and off. Built in polyethylene makes for a very quiet boat that once again won't damage the mothership, making it a perfect tender boat. |
